Nearby Hollis Garden shows off manicured landscapes, fountains, and sculptures, while the Polk Museum of Art offers a creative fix just steps from tree-lined streets. Cozy cafes and bistros tucked into converted historic homes serve Southern comfort food with lake views. Most accommodations are charming bed & breakfasts in restored early 1900s homes, offering that personal touch absent in chain hotels. The neighborhood is wonderfully walkable with limited traffic, making exploration a breeze.

Dixieland

A car is recommended for exploring beyond the neighborhood, though shaded sidewalks make for perfect leisurely strolls. "Took care of our mother when we were unable to check in to a different location. Very professional and courteous."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lakeland South by IHG
"The room was very clean, the staff was helpful, nice and welcoming. Even helped us to our room with baby crib. Really went out of their way to make the stay perfect. Highly recommend will stay there again when in town."
Home2 Suites By Hilton Lakeland North I-4
"We are regular guests at this hotel and many Hilton, particularly H2S locations. We forgot our extra blankets, creature comforts for the kids when we travel, not a first for us, and always are able to get a few extra for the room so they can bundle up and be cozy, and when asked for more blankets and pillows, there were not many in the room, not enough for 6 of us, the front desk person said there were no more pillows and only gave a a couple of blankets, said she could not leave the desk to get more. It was a busy Saturday, so we tried to be understanding, and we made due, but not what we expected. Not a huge deal, maybe just a teachable moment."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeland East
"Great location to food and shopping. Our stay were relaxing and peaceful. Thanks."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍"
The Terrace Hotel Lakeland, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
"The Terrace Staff truly took customer service to the next level! We have never had such excellent CS. From the text requests that were delivered every time within minutes (Rose front desk was amazing) or the maintenance man (I think Richard) who not only ensured our AC was working properly he brought us complimentary fountain sodas in between his visits! I mean TOP NOTCH! All of it!!! I just can not say enough and we've stayed at all kinds of boutique style hotels, Ritz, JW Marriott's etc."
Extended Stay America Premier Suites Lakeland I4
"Service was great! Ice machine was broken as well as the first floor bathrooms, but the laundry room was great as well as the pool. Room was a little small for 6 people. There were 2 times where someone knocked on our room door and ran, but overall was a great stay!"
