Used for an overnight stop-over, Marston’s Pub menu, food was very reasonably priced and good choice for breakfast too. Room clean and comfortable. The staff were all fantastic, everybody was so friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the George Hotel! The historic property is filled with character, and the staff are all warm and welcoming. Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the pub downstairs. The town of Hayfield is also delightful and a great place to stay within Peaks. Highly recommend!

The George was a great place for us to use as a base for our two night stay whilst visiting local places. Easy to find and plenty of room in the car park. Great location in Hayfield with lots to do from the doorstep on foot. The staff gave us a warm welcome when we arrived in the evening, quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was good value, a good size and had everything we needed, including a fan. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was lovely. We had already made other arrangements for our dinner on the second night but returned for drinks in the bar afterwards. On both evenings, the couple working behind the bar were friendly. We would definitely return and will recommend to friends wanting to stay in the area.

Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation comfortable and everything in the room worked properly. Car park was fairly full but space was available when arrived. Cooked breakfast was good, served hot and good value for money. Teas and coffees are at extra cost but overall still very competitively priced compared with chain hotels. A very enjoyable stay.
