4/10 Fair

The positive points are that it is very close to the cruise terminal and the staff were very good. However, the hotel is very dated. When we opened the door to our room it smelled. The light and the outlet between the beds didn’t work. The chair in the room had really dirty arms. We couldn’t go out when it got dark. We even tried to walk a block over to grab something to eat and there were crazy homeless people on the corner. I’m disappointed. Especially reading all the good reviews online beforehand. I typically don’t leave a review, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

6/10 Good

Check in was an absolute nightmare. Multiple computers were down, huge line in lobby waiting, staff couldn't help, managers were hiding in the back. It took more than an hour to check in after check in time. After check in, the stay was uneventful, but several small items in room didn't work (e.g., remote control). The property seems well maintained, but is clearly aging. The bar staff was really nice and service was good. For the price, I don't feel this was a good value.

We loved the breakfast buffet in the morning. The staff was eager and willing to make a special breakfast plate. The rooms were clean and cool. So refreshing from a hot summer day. Everyone one at Crown Plaza was so polite and helpful. Thank you Crown Plaza for making our stay a pleasant one.
