The check-in was no problem. We were put on the first floor and the room was decent. The continental breakfast was good. Enjoyed it . The only problem I had was the smell that would be there when I opened the front door. It smelled like sewage . The pier was behind the building and had old bubbly suds that sticked to the sides. Also the walls were very thin. As the first floor guest, I can hear the people above us; walking , and using the bathroom at night. For an off-season price, it should be cheaper but I may come back just to stay at the outer banks

I happen to be disabled, using a rollator/medical transport to walk, or be pushed by my husband. There are NO ELEVATORS! They had no rooms available on the ground floor. So I could not stay there. The front desk staff was very helpful finding a different hotel.
