"I was given a room that not fit my itinerary and they upgraded me by putting me in a suite. We arrived late and housekeeping left so there were no linens available for the sofa-bed but I was given two sheets which worked well. The beds and shower and water pressure was great. We couldn’t use any of the amenities but the property was well kept."
"I have mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the hotel staff were fantastic—extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. Their great hospitality was definitely the highlight of the experience.
Unfortunately, the room itself made it very difficult to get a good night’s rest:
Pillows: The pillows were really bad quality—extremely hard, stiff, and uncomfortable, offering no real comfort for sleeping.
AC Unit: The air conditioner fan was exceedingly loud, cycling on and off with a harsh rattle that repeatedly woke me up.
Street Noise: The room lacked proper soundproofing, so street noise from outside filtered right through the windows throughout the night."
Hampton Inn by Hilton Philadelphia International Airport
10/10 Excellent
"I always use Hamptons across the country when I travel which I do quite a bit. I had stopped going to Hampton in Philadelphia because the standards were no longer Hamptons. The place was dirty, furniture needed repairing, employees were disgruntled. I thought I would try again And I was very pleased that I did. Decor was changed. Employees were happy everything was clean. Kudos to your polite airport van drivers, particularly Mr. Abdul. I am single traveler, elderly lady who felt comfortable alone in the van with him at night and appreciated the pleasant conversation we had."
"Gosh, we loved this place. It’s old style and incredibly reasonable for the area. It was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower had great water pressure and temp. Bar downstairs was awesome. What stood out the most was the service. The worker at the front desk was so incredibly professional and helpful. She was the best hotel worker I’ve ever encountered. She provided so much information that we didn’t have a single question. It kind of felt like we were stepping back in time and staying at an old inn. I would stay again. Great experience!"
"Well I loved that I was able to check in earlier, but their was only one working elevator and I was on the top floor. It was a lot of wedding parties there so I feel the elevators should have been a priority to fix.
The front of the hotel has a lot of homeless people lingering the moment you walk out of the hotel, which was not a good look but I know they can’t help it. Overall I will definitely come back."
