"This place is just what you want and more than you expect. Quaint cabins, well equipped, clean, not too fancy. The entire property is maintained in a manner that reflects a lot of hard work. Sits atop a hill overlooking the lake. Great location for all the many outdoor attractions in the area. The restaurant is unbelievable. I had a sea bass entree that was a good as any fancy restaurant in NYC. And if you have a complaint (I didn't) the folks that own and operate it were both right there. There is zero risk in reserving a spot at Whispering Woods. Plan to eat dinner. Reserve a window table if you can."

Quality Inn & Suites Mountain Home North

"My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and have always been pleased. It is clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is fine. Unfortunately though, my husband and I are getting older and had a difficult time getting our suitcases up the stairs. The facility does not have an elevator. If we stay here again we will need to request a first floor room."

Quality Inn West Plains

8/10 Good

"The staff was pleasant and welcoming during our interactions. Our room was nice, but you could definitely tell it was previously used as a smoking room. The shower pressure was okay, and the pillows could use an upgrade. The floor/ceiling between the upper floors and lower floors is very thin, and you could hear the upstairs guests walking and running. The location is very central, which was nice. We were told the hotel is being updated soon with its purchase by Comfort Inn."
