Want to know what other travellers say about hotels?

We have over 19,000,000 verified reviews and photos taken by real guests who have stayed at the hotel.

So, how does it work?

1. Book and stay

You can only write a review and upload photos if you’ve made a booking with us and stayed at the hotel. That’s how we know our reviews are from real guests.

2. Write your review

We’ll be in touch shortly after your stay has finished to ask for your review, or you can go to your account on the site and leave a review from there. Once you’ve submitted it, we’ll check to make sure it meets our submission requirements and update you by email.

3. Reviews and photos published on Hotels.com

Once your review has been posted, anyone can read it, including hotel staff. All reviews are also displayed on our apps as well as on the website.

Your review helps other travellers and it also provides feedback to the hotel.

The hotel staff can respond to your review, so check your review once it has been posted.

Useful tips on writing a review

✓ Whether it’s good or bad, write a detailed review that’s useful for other travellers to read

✓ Add photos to complement your review. A picture paints a thousand words!

✓ Try to include unique qualities of the hotel or a particular aspect which stood out during your stay

✗ Don’t add links in your review

✗ If you are being critical, try to avoid personal attacks on individual staff members

✗ Don’t include profanity or terms that may offend other travellers

Rate the hotel during your stay – it only takes a minute

We’ll email you a few questions during your stay, so you can let the hotel know whether they’re doing good job or if there’s room for improvement.
