What you should know about Sunriver

Located between Mount Bachelor and the High Oregon Desert, Sunriver is a little village with a big reputation. The community was constructed in the 1960s on the site of a former U.S. Army camp, as a luxury resort providing clear skies, balmy temperatures and access to some of the most spectacular scenery on the west coast of America. Offering great skiing in the winter and beautiful hiking trails in the summer, it is perhaps little surprise that Sunriver remains a popular family holiday destination all year round.

Travel in Sunriver and the surrounding area by bike or on foot is facilitated by a well maintained network of footpaths and trails. Getting here, though, requires a car.
