"We recently stayed at the Sandman Signature Hotel & Restaurant Vancouver Airport and found it to be a mixed experience.
The property offers several conveniences that appeal to a wide range of travelers. The on-site dining options are convenient, and the hotel provides amenities that make it easy to relax or grab a meal without leaving the property. For those needing quick access to the airport, the location is also a plus.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself appears to be showing its age. The rooms are dated, and the overall maintenance of the property leaves much to be desired. Several repairs in our room appeared to have been completed hastily, with noticeable cosmetic issues, while other maintenance concerns had not been addressed at all. These details detracted from what could have been a much more comfortable stay.
One thing future visitors should consider is the location relative to Vancouver’s main attractions. If you plan to spend significant time in downtown Vancouver or North Vancouver, be prepared for longer travel times than you might expect. We underestimated how much traffic through Richmond would impact our daily plans, and commuting to and from those areas became a frustrating part of the trip.
Overall, the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport offers convenience and useful amenities, but the dated accommodations and lack of attention to maintenance make it difficult to fully recommend, especially for travelers planning to explore areas beyond Richmond."
