Super 8 by Wyndham St. Louis North, St. Louis

While there are many things that I can cite that went wrong the one that stands out the most was the very foul odor in the room we were given. When we complained the front desk person insisted on going to the room with us to make sure there really was a smell. When he didn’t agree that there was a smell he said to my boyfriend who is staying with me while I had a business conference “I guess it’s like some women. You just don’t like their smell.” When he took us to our new room, he made snide comments about checking the TV and the shower and the telephone to make sure it was working and up to our standard. It seemed like everything- down to reprograming our key cards when they stopped working to just sitting at a table in the breakfast area was a huge inconvenience to them and we were big problems. The people were very rude, and with that comment about a woman’s smell- totally inappropriate. I will never ever stay there again! I don’t care if it was new and clean the staff made it intolerable. I’m not hard to make happy. I don’t complain. It upsets me to complain about anything so if I do it means it is BAD.

I am so upset. I would like to put a good review on this hotel but they double charged me. I already paid online here at Hotels.com but still charged 114.50 on my credit card. So I called the office and they told me it’s a systems error and they will refund my money but that did not happen. Will not be staying at this hotel again!!!! Such thieves!!!! Will only change this review once I got my money back. And we left the hotel early and the room was clean when we left it so that should not be the reason, they said their computer system just charged me again. They should have double checked first with their computer. sleeping in that place for ~$300 is not worth it they have to give my $114 back 😡

Overall our stay was good, we had a little issue checking in but it was quickly resolved and they got us a new room. Building looked very recently remodeled, rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was okay. I will however to comment on the location, there is a mcdonalds/super 8 next door. About 10pm we decided to head out and get McDonald's next door (it was a loves truck stop). We pull up to see someone pulling a barricade up at the entrance of the parking lot. He came over and asked if we were from around here, we said no. He then explained that they barricade the parking lot at 10pm because of "gun violence and street racing". He said we could park on the street and walk in but needless to say we went elsewhere. During the evening I didn't hear anything (like gunshots...). Overall the hotel itself was very nice and new, location was questionable...

My stay was pleasant until I ran into people I knew, and they show me bed bug bites on their bodies and pictures of bed bugs, and looked at my own body and discovered that I had a few bites on my body as well. I thought they may have been mosquito bites, nothing even paying the bites any attention since I get those all the time been from the south. However, I realize that there were no mosquitoes out as cold as it was and plus I was covered up everyday in a suit, so how could I've gotten bite on my arms and back. I has already checked out of my room when I was told that the hotel has bed bugs. I would love to stay there again next year because of the cleanliness and the location, but I will be sure to inspect the beds and demand my money back and find somewhere else to stay. So if your the Manager/Owner reading this, please get this problem solved ASAP... This is a nice clean, comfortable, convenient hotel, and no one wants to stay in a place where they are been biting by bed bugs.

The hotel was not clean. Had to switch rooms. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke because the other customers violated the rules due to disrespecting hotel property. This hotel rented rooms to people surely under 25 yrs old. The hotel needs quality control to ensure walls are cleaned, lights in the bathroom are working, and furniture is cleaned without stains. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again. It seems like my experience in the Days Inn and Super 8 hotels are the worst!!! Also any hotels owed by the hindu Indians seemed to be unsanitary and nasty. Sorry, but it is the truth. This has been wirh my experience and I have had rude experiences with these people.
