Outside of the hustle but close enough to smell it
The staff was friendly and super professional. Stunning hotel and highly recommended. The food in their restaurant is also 5star+ Go there.

Mardi Gras Magic
What a gem in the marigny! They have bikes you can use. The elevator was very large. The rooms are very unique. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Also, great parking. We came with a large truck and they have their own onsite private lot. Thank you for making our Mardi Gras Magic!

Incredibly Unique!
I was moving from Philadelphia to San Diego, and one of my stops was New Orleans. I’d been to New Orleans many times and came across this hotel and it was fantastic (now my favorite). Easy walk to Frenchman ST!

Yummy staycation
I live in New Orleans but come here occasionally for a staycation. Favorite part of town (other than where I live) and I love every square inch of the hotel. That the food is so great is an added bonus, but I'd stay here even if it wasn't - it's just yummy.

I'm in love. With a hotel.
In theory I was in the worst room in the complex--across from the elevator, next to housekeeping near the main door--but my room was so peaceful and lovely I can only imagine that the "better" rooms are extraordinary. A beautiful unique hotel with great attention to design and detail. A wonderful cocktail bar and restaurant on site and it seems to be popular with the locals as well. Wonderful service from check in to check out--everyone I encountered was lovely but Chris was a standout--kind and funny and seemingly always there. Finally, the neighborhood is wonderful and walking distance from many places to eat and near enough to the French Quarter.

Pretty nice with one exception
Nice place and we would return. Lovely renovation and has a nice restaurant and great bar on site. My only complaint is that we requested a King bed, and when we checked in early to store luggage, reception asked us about our King choice, stating that our room style came with either a King or Queen bed. He asked us if we still wanted a King bed and we confirmed we did. We were told that would not be a problem. We came back to the hotel to check into our room to find we were given a Queen bed. So, we were disappointed. Why request something and confirm it would not be a problem? Anyway, we may choose to return, as we liked the rest of our stay. There are many choices in New Orleans, so will have to think about it. The device was great and our room was clean.

Good 6.0
experienced traveler. been to nola many times. too many to count. daughter lives in neighborhood and recommended hotel. upgraded to room with lofted bedroom. Bed barely fit on loft (seemed like alot of steps to walk up - and down). No bathroom on loft. No TV on loft. No dresser on loft. Not very convenient or comfortable to walk up and down to run to the john, or to get clothes or anything. Downstairs was cramped with a small slanted window, a very small desk, a small couch, very few outlets and one basic standing closet with 3-4 drawers. No mini bar, no water. Tiny bathroom; efficient but tiny. Room was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Yes, I know it is a converted place of worship that seems to be quite popular with a very cool bar/restaurant next door. But my biggest complaint, and only I am to blame for this, is location. Pretty far from anywhere I wanted to go. Sure, you can walk the mile+ (about 2km) to the middle of the quarter during the day, which we did once; but forget about it at night; and it was not easy to get rides during Thanksgiving Weekend with all the parades and road blocks. For my sake, and I'm a senior, its primarily about convenience and comfort. And this hotel did not score high marks from me on either account.

What a charmer!
What a charming hotel. The history, unique decor, layout, music events, helpful staff and adorable Elysian Bar restaurant all make it a standout property.

I will try and book this hotel every trip to New Orleans from now on. From the exceptional service, to the stunning look of the hotel and the room, to the free parking and location, this place is amazing. I have been to New Orleans many many times and this is BY FAR our favorite place that we have ever stayed. I can't recommend this place enough. The entire staff was lovely.
