Highly recommend, definitely will stay here again
Hotel is right across from Tokyu plaza, which has many popular restaurants and shops. Also right next to Ginza station exit C1, very convenient for getting around Tokyo. If arriving/departing Narita airport, there’s Access Narita bus stop nearby (1000yen/person, right outside of the elevator of Ginza station between exit C5-7), can’t beat the price and convenience for that. Front desk personnel are friendly and efficient at helping us finding solutions to our questions. The classy king room is clean and comfortable, so much so we don’t really want to leave the room.

Amazing, modern, luxurious, location, refined. What else do you need from a hotel. Whilst it is hard to say which is the best area to stay in Tokyo, Ginza is for sure a great choice. And, if you're going to stay in Ginza, THE GATE HOTEL TOKYO by HULIC is an amazing option. Once you enter the property and you smell the perfume in the ambiance ,,, you now you are in the right place. Super amazing hotel. I would return and stay here every time I'm in Tokyo. Rooms are (way) bigger than normal hotel rooms in this magnificent city. The mattress is just perfect. The area is divine. Location is unbeatable. Subway entrance is right at the gate of the hotel. Stop looking for other properties, this is the one!

Favorite hotel in Japan so far
Easily one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. New construction, as well as great walkable location right next to Ginza Station (one stop away from Tokyo Station), shopping, and restaurants. Hotel staff was incredibly welcoming throughout our stay and facilities (rooftop lounge with bar, restaurant) were top notch. Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in Tokyo for business or personal travel.

Fair 4.0
Poor service. Not worth the price.
While the Gate Hotel is a nice hotel, the service from the hotel staff seemed to be lacking. A cold and insincere response, if any was all that we received during our 3 night stay. For the amount of money this hotel charges, I would expect better service. They wouldn’t even call a taxi service for us because it would cost the hotel extra money to do so. The hotel rooms were minimal compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Japan with a similar price range. No bath robes, the bidet didn’t work properly, the body lotion they provide was a joke. The room was not vacuumed. The front desk staff barely mustered a warm greeting as we arrived and left the hotel. It was almost a delayed forced cold response. Very unusual compared to our other hotels stays in Japan. The restaurant ‘s service was lacking. After finishing my meal it took me 15-20 minutes to find the waitress to get her clear my plates as well as ask for dessert, and ask for the check. It felt like she was hiding. I was one of two people in the dining room at the time. The attentiveness was missing. I’m surprised this hotel doesn’t offer room service. I would not recommend this hotel for the price paid.
