Our home is a historic Philadelphia Trinity between the Queen Village and Pennsport neighborhoods. We are adjacent to Jefferson Square Park and a quick walk to many shops and restaurants with a walkability score of 97%. Located in an ideal and safe location within walking distance of Old City, South Street, Passyunk Avenue shops and restaurants, Fabric Row, and the Italian Market. Our house is right off I-95 making quick access to the sports complexes. Off street parking is readily available.
A trinity home is an efficiently sized home (ours is 800 sq feet) which classically has a single room on each floor. Our home is a "knockout" trinity allowing for a larger kitchen, bathroom and small deck.
We recently renovated the entire home, with hardwood bamboo flooring, newly exposed brick, a modern fully equipped kitchen,and lots of clever space saving details.
The home is bright and tastefully decorated in a modern aesthetic, with original art and photographs from our travels. The bathroom has a large walk in shower. The second bed is a pull out sofa on the third floor living space (queen size) with an available memory foam topper.
The area is a safe, family neighborhood and is adjacent to Jefferson Square Park which is great for taking your dog for a walk. In the summer, there are all kinds of events there like Philly Parks on Tap. It is a short walk to some new, and hip restaurants such as Royal Izakaya, The Dutch, Grindcore Coffee House, Herman's Coffee House, and South Helm. We are only blocks away from the original Federal Donuts. South Street and the Italian Market are a 10 min walk away. It is a longer, but still manageable walk to Old City or Passyunk Avenue.
The street we are on is a quiet, narrow street/alley. You can unload your car in front of the house, and then park it nearby. Parking is often better than other areas of the city, and you do not need a permit on the streets surrounding the home.
