Got a plane to catch?
We needed to catch a plane out of Edinburgh in the morning and wanted to stay someplace close but not right in the city. This was perfect. Pleasant staff and excellent breakfast made this a great little find. A little dated, but it met our needs to a tee.

Holy towels clients!
Hotel was acceptable if a little tired and need of a bit of work. The room was ok, heating was on and very effective, not bad for the price..but the bathroom was very poor. Some bathroom tiles were missing, the shower doors were broken, the soap dispenser did not work and the bath towel, the size of a hand towel, had a hole in it the size of a 50p. The light above the sink had a broken cord so it would not turn on. Hotel location was a little remote and you either dined in, or used the car to go to the local town or villages. Bar was good. Staff more than helpful.

Won't go back here again
Can't really give anything positive about this hotel apart from the location and view. Bedroom we stayed in was poor, bed was very uncomfortable, peeling wallpaper off the ceiling in the bathroom, dirt around shower cubicle, broken tiles. The hotel is worn out. Needs some TLC and better management. Food was edible but service wasn't good. Wasps nest above one of the doors. Overheard others who weren't happy with their stay Won't go back, won't recommend ..... unless you have really low expectations.
