I was disappointed by the hotel stay. When we first arrived our room was not available. We were asked to wait while they “checked with housekeeping to find out when it would be ready”. We waited for 45 minutes and had to approach the desk again to again be asked to wait while they checked with housekeeping. We waited for another 10 minutes and our room was still not ready. We left the hotel for an hour and came back again to not have our room be ready. The response again was to wait while they checked with housekeeping. Another 15 minutes of waiting to be told that they thought it would be another 20-30 minutes, but couldn’t guaranty it, although this was all after the check in time. We left for another hour and came back. When we came in, they said nothing other than our room number and handed us our key cards. Upon checking out we learned that our room had actually been demoted from the class we had book and they lied to us about the type of room that we received. The rooms are easy to identity by the pictures, but we had not thought to check until the last day. We generally are easy going travelers, but this was a special trip for my wife’s 40th birthday and we received poor unapologetic service, did not receive what we paid for, and were lied to about it. There are much better options out there for your money.

An extraordinary hotel that goes above and beyond to ensure it’s guests have a fabulous stay. We just happened to be staying here during the massive protests, so received communication from the hotel prior to our stay to ensure we were safe at all times. As we arrived extra early the hotel ensured our room was ready for an early check in. The rooms are luxurious and beautiful. Although small and with no view, our room was still beautiful and very comfortable. We received a platter of strawberries on arrival. We didn’t mind being confined to our room during the protests outside the hotel. The restaurant and bar accommodated anyone who was stuck by the protests, and the food and drinks were fabulous. At all times we were kept informed of the situation outside the hotel. All the staff were exceptional and so helpful. The roof top bar is amazing. Our only negative was the room service dinner which was not good at all. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Great location with fabulous shopping and places to eat nearby.

Our stay was incredible! Our luggage was lost but the concierge worked hard to get our things as quickly as possible. The service was impeccable, but always warm and friendly. The food was amazing and the views from the tenth floor were beautiful. The pictures did not do the space justice. Dont forget to visit Montserrat (and the Punch Room). We will return here soon!

The hotel is in a wonderful location, just next to the local market and in walking distance to so many things. The staff are so very professional and friendly and everything about our stay was perfect.

This had excellent gym and roof bar. Staff friendly & helpful. Beds were comfortable. The overall lighting system was a bit to dim which made putting on make-up etc tricky for my wife. Supply of fresh drinking water in room was unreliable and no answer from room service overnight. It was disappointing not to have tea and milk in room.
