Upon checking in I was asked to pay for the room. I told the receptionist that I had already paid in full. She said the system showed the payment was still outstanding. I showed her proof of payment and she made a phone call to a person who confirmed that the room had already been paid for.
The stay itself was great, the apartment was spotless, spacious and very well equipped.
Sadly, the downside of our stay happened after we had checked out and I realised a couple of hours later that I had left a full bottle of £60 perfume on the desk in the room. I phoned the hotel and the receptionist checked with housekeeping who told her that nothing had been found in the room. This perfume was 100% in the room, so unfortunately it could only mean that the staff concerned had lied as well as stolen. I did tell the receptionist that I wasn’t happy with their answer and she suggested I phoned the following morning to speak to Andrea, the manager.
I phoned yesterday at 7.40am and spoke to Andrea, she said that she been left a note about the missing perfume from the receptionist, and that housekeeping were due in at 8.30am, she would speak to them and phone me back. I’m still waiting for that phone call.
