Room with NO window!
The description on this website is not accurate - the picture has a room with a window. I was given a room with no window. The hotel is also next to a dance club and you are able to hear music throughout the night. The staff was not responsive to issues I had with my room - I had to reprogram my key 3 times and had to request a few times for the front desk to send towels. Who cleans a room and does not leave towels?!?! Stay away if you are a light sleeper and appreciate attentive staff!

Good 6.0
Too noisy for our taste
The location was perfect, it was literally across the street from the iconic Angel de la Independencia. It was too noisy for our taste, the hotel it located over a cafe, and the street over is full of night life that can continue until 5am. We were issued only one key, and when we asked for an additional one we were told it was not hotel policy to issue two keys (every hotel I have ever stayed at has issued two keys). The rooms were extremely small, and did not have a refrigerator. If you are in Mexico City to party, this hotel might work. We on the other hand wanted to sleep early in order to get a full day of sight seeing

Very Good 8.0
Awesome location; acceptable hotel
Overall this hotel was okay for our short stay of a couple days. The location of the hotel is excellent - central to almost everything. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Appreciated the free bottles of water daily. The complimentary breakfast was served by Le Pain Quotidien which is situated on the ground floor of the same building (via coupon received from front desk of hotel). We found that the complimentary food options were limited (three options) and by the second day, opted for purchasing breakfast from the restaurant’s full menu instead. Another issue I had was security of the building. The hotel starts from the second storey of this building and the entrance to it is actually just an elevator along the side of the restaurant (which you can take to the hotel lobby or your room’s floor). Only halfway through our trip, I realized that any passerby on the street had the ability to enter the elevator and head straight up to guest room floors. There is no security feature which requires that the room key is swiped in order for the elevator to be activated for floors with rooms. Management needs to consider adding that security feature for sure as it is a busy area and this current set-up allows free flow of any person through the building. Sometimes there was a security guard at the front of the elevator but even so, they are unable to verify whether a person is a guest or not

Bare bones room, okay breakfast in good area.
Stayed here 7 nights. Would have checked out after 2 if I hadn't pre-paid. Bare-bones room. Electronic key locked me out of my room for two hours one night (bad battery and no one onsite knew what to do.) For next three days I had to get the reset once/day. Breakfast of "local cuisine" is okay. Coffee, juice of the day (tangerine, grapefruit, orange), hard croissant and local jam--very good), plus choice of three local dishes like Mexican scrambled eggs or giant fruit cup.
