The view is awesome, highly recommended if you want the best view of town from your hotel room. The hotel rooms are clean and recently remodeled. Finding the hotel was a bit tricky, but mostly because I did not read the instructions.

Balcon
Great stay great views. The balcon is located to the side of the hotel. Rooms have great views of downtown. No AC in the room I suggest ceiling fan to improve air circulation.

10/10 Exceptional

The funicular (tram) is a part of the hotel so you can have a beautiful view from a cliff and without even leaving the building you can get on the funicular and it drops right behind the Teatro Juarez in the heart of the city. The ride is only a couple of minutes, the view is amazing, the hotel gives you a free pass which also allows to you go to the front fo the line. I was alone and got a room with no balcony but still had a great view, so check to be sure you're getting a balcony if you want one, because not all rooms have one. The rooms have no heat and in February I was cold at night even with the extra blanket, so if you're going in the winter take warm pajamas. El Pípila is right next to the steps down to the hotel. There was a outdoor party atmosphere in the evening on Saturday. Don't know about other nights. A great breakfast is included: Coffee, juice, yogurt, granola, a plate of fruit, chilequiles with a choice of meat, sweetbread and regular bread, all delivered to your room but the earliest you can get it is 9:00.

8/10 Very Good

Great first visit hotel.
Great location, breakfast was wonderful and having the funicular pass was a real bonus. However, walls are very thin so place was noisy. Could hear people outside at the view spot below my room having fun very late, and could hear people above me walking around in heels, as well as other things. Motion detector lights in hallway woke me up, too, because of glass wall in bathroom.

I loved the view from my balcony. Room clean. The front desk was helpful. I does help to have at least some Spanish when staying at this hotel.

6/10 Good

Free breakfast was really good. Harder to get here if you miss the funicular time at 9:45. You'll end up taking Ubers so factor that into the cost but you do get free funicular rides. The front desk people were really nice. Hard to find the property at first. You have to go down stairs and then walk through this bazaar. Basically walk towards the funicular and you'll find the hotel. The city view room we got had a super tiny window so wasn't really worth it but being close to the view was nice. Bathroom door was a sliding glass so less privacy than would have been nice.
