Hotel Great... Concierge Team... outstanding!
We stayed at the Emporium Hotel South Bank over Christmas, visiting from the UK for a family wedding. We have a fabulous time at the Emporium... the room was wonderful, very spacious and light. Huge comfortable bed, enormous bathroom and fabulous views over the Brisbane River to the city. Two teams need a special mention.. (1) The Belle Èpoque Patisserie team for giving us a fabulous breakfast and gorgeous little pâtisseries every day; a charming and delightful little oasis in the Emporium; much more personable than the rooftop restaurant. (2) The concierge team who were OUTSTANDING!! In particular, a shout out to Bobby, Jimmy, Nathan & Nelson whose attentiveness, professionalism and dedication was exceptional… The Calile Hotel could learn a thing or two from them. They guaranteed we enjoyed not only the best of Brisbane, but also when our plans to visit Cairns changed at the last minute due to covid, Bobby; in his own time, worked out a detailed itinerary for a trip to the Sunshine coast.. including hotel reservations, car hire & restaurant/activity recommendations, so we could experience even more of Queensland. Finally, our heartfelt thanks to Bobby for tracking down and sourcing a very special, rare wine (only available in Moo Moo’s restaurant in Brisbane, a superb steak restaurant BTW) for my husband. He was over the moon; we’ll be saving it for a very special occasion! We will be back to Brisbane for sure and there is only one place for us to stay.. The Emporium!
