PLEASE DO BETTER- hire me and I’ll help. Seriously
Initially I was beyond excited to experience this hotel- I heard nothing BUT great things so I must admit that I was quite disappointed in the presentation of my room up entry. It appeared to have not been cleaned since it was last occupied. Stains on the carpet, hair in the shower and bathroom sink. Just completely unacceptable(let me remind you that this was what I was “upgraded to”). Long story short I spoke to the front desk and housekeeping management who apologized immensely and kindly upgraded us again to a suite and gave us complimentary water and boxed wine)It was “better” but still not up to par and to be quite honest I didn’t have the energy to go through the previously mentioned process again. There was hair in the bathroom on the wall and shelf near the sink and well as dirty shower head:/. I neglected to complain this time around because I was quite exhausted (driving/unloading just to load up again) it was way too much of a hassle. I think that Eaton Can benefit from having someone with a keener eye for detail when it comes to the upkeep of their rooms.

Heading back to the Eaton
It’s crazy times out there, so if you have to travel it better be good. The Eaton is amazing. Covid preparedness felt like everyone was well trained, service staff under these circumstances went above and beyond. My room was pristine and American Son restaurant was tasty! Thank you!

Clean and Modern
The Eaton has a cool modern vibe, in a great location on K street. I didn’t get to try the restaurant, but the decor in the rest of the property overall is thoughtfully designed and beautiful. My only complaint was the cost of parking. $60/ night seems kind of steep. Would totally recommend to stay here without a car.

Excellent choice for DC esp with pups!
We love Eaton! Great location, loved the self-parking option, and the room was very comfortable. Great place esp if traveling with your pups.

Poor 2.0
Stay at a normal Hotel. Just not this one.
I will sum it up this way. We cut our trip short and left a day early. I have never been so uncomfortable staying in a hotel as I had with this hotel. Let me say that the staff that the staff was very cordial, courteous and professional. We were assured a 2 hour early check in as Gold Members of Hotels. com We purposely left early and arrived at 1:45 pm which is ahead of the normal 3:00 pm check in. The room wasn't ready. Ok as annoying as this is after a 4 hour drive we have to kill some time. We came back at 3:50 pm and still, the room wasn't ready. This set the tone. Free parking ? Yeah if you don't mind having to run around the block and make sure you get there before 8:00 pm or the place is locked up. And closed on weekends. But you can get a card key from the front desk and gain access to your car. Return the card key to the front desk immediately. I learned all of this the hard way. It would have been nice had the front desk alerted me to all of this. Coffee maker ? Haha, nope. ONLY if you request one. You want lights on in your room ? You better figure out that you need your room pass in the slot to turn on the lights. Oh, and don't sit motionless for more than 15 minutes. The lights go off. Want to watch the news ? I hope you don't mind that conservative news channels are filtered out. The problem with this place is that it's an "activist" hotel. This hotel is entirely geared towards the racist BLM movement. I should have done my research first. Lesson learned.

Lovely place near Franklin Square
Pros: Rooms are comfortable with great midcentury design, interesting books, etc., and the location near Penn Quarter is good. Cons: Soundproofing isn’t the greatest, can hear noise from other rooms, sometimes till late in the night. Service is spotty - if you want your room serviced during your stay, you must ask repeatedly (& even then, it may not happen).

Great hotel
It was a great hotel in a convenient location with friendly staff. Only slight hiccup was ordering breakfast one day. They didn’t have it as requested so they comped a quick breakfast and were very apologetic and accommodating. Being able to recover from an error with great service goes far in my book! The rooms are decorated in a modern and tasteful way with really cool books and are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
