Property was excellent, the surrounding area was a little scary for me traveling alone

Well-equipped Kitchen
One of the better equipped kitchens of any "kitchenette" in a suite. Rates were very affordable when we stayed. Also enjoyed having the two separate sleeping areas. The furniture is a bit funky -- beanbag mounds instead of real chairs and the dining table was a bit bizarre. The only issue we had was with the ventilation which seemed to stop working in the middle of the night on what, coincidentally, happened to be one of the hottest days of record in Oslo. And, since it's a limited-service hotel, there was no in-house staff to report the issue to. Having said all that, I would likely stay there again.

Exceptional 10.0
Good value for Central location.
Hard to find anyone at the reception desk.

Great Location
Great location for seeing the city. One stop short of Oslo Central. Area considered sketchy by Oslo standards, and at first glance I’d agree. But after calling it home for a week, I was completely comfortable there. Rooms are extremely small, and don’t expect ANY amenities; space for luggage, tray for toiletries in the shower, soap, washcloths. Bed was okay, balcony was terrific. Staff was sporadic and uninterested in your stay. For the independent, experienced traveler, excellent bargain for the stay. If you need a little hand holding, this is not too help lace for you.

Okay, great location.
Overall great location, only one stop short of Oslo Central Station. Would have been helpful to know this when asking the front desk staff for directions? Pretty sketchy area, in general. Considered the ghetto of Oslo. Perhaps because of the graffiti and more diverse population? I learned, after a week, to relax. Although scary “looking” no one was aggressive or interfering. The hotel itself was okay. Don’t expect any luxuries and rooms are extremely small. Beds are comfortable and it was nice to have a balcony with a beautiful view. I missed space enough to open my suitcase, a tray for shower items, enough toilet paper, a bath mat, you know, the basics. Liked having a “kitchen”. It’s more like a very small studio apartment without a closet, than a hotel room.
