Very polite staff. Clean rooms and beds. The hotel is a bit old, and from the era when smoking rooms were more prominent. But it was clean. We ran the AC to cover over the smell, and the unit didn’t really love being on all night. But other than the faint smell of old smoke it was a nice stay.

Good property for the price. Needed a place to crash for the night. Nothing spectacular, but good enough. Wifi worked, bathroom was older but everything worked, tV was small but good enough. It’s an average motel. It’s ok. It’s not dirty. It was a little noisy because of the proximity to the 101. Not walking friendly and a little difficult to get out of the drive in a vehicle. Staff was courteous. Nothing to write home about but if you’re just looking for a place to stay, it’s fine.

My family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed at this motel for 3 nights at the end of March 2026. The Good: We liked the fact that there were two separate bedrooms, one with a king, one with a queen, and another queen in the living room. The layout of the rooms was more similar to an apartment than a hotel. There was a decent sized kitchen with a fridge, cooktop, sink, coffee maker, and microwave. It also had a nice patio/balcony overlooking the creek with 4 plastic chairs to sit on. There is an outdoor pool. The Bad: The fridge was very old, the freezer didn’t work, it couldn’t keep ice frozen, no pun intended. It also needed to be defrosted because there was a large amount of ice collecting at the top of the fridge. The kitchen sink kept getting clogged and the in-sink garbage disposal didn’t work. Pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils were not provided so we did not use the cooktop, just the micro. Floors were dirty and the whole place smelled like cat urine. There were at least three lights that did not work, patio light, dining room light, and one of the lights next to one of the beds. We had to pay an extra $30/night for our dog, this was never disclosed. Pool was very dirty. Bedspreads and pillows didn’t seem clean. The TV was too small/far away from the couch. The king mattress was old and did not provide any support. There were 2 single servings of coffee provided, when we asked for more they said only the first 3 were complimentary. No coffee provided in the lobby.

Memorial Day Weekend 2025

I went there for Memorial Day weekend. For someone without a car, it is conveniently located to downtown San Luis Obispo(about a 10-15 minute walk). The service was great and reasonable. Only downside of the property is that it is right by an on ramp to Highway 101. So, there is bound to be many cars when crossing the street. All in all, i enjoying my stay and i might return at somepoint in the future!!
