Because there is no front desk, I was required to submit a picture of my ID and credit card in order to be given an access number to get in. The instructions said it would take about two hours, but after 3-4 hours of waiting in front of the building in the rain with my whole family, I was forced to find a hotel room elsewhere (which cost A LOT of money since many hotels were booked to capacity). After many emails and phone calls, no access code was ever given to me. I continued to receive automated email messages that ignored my questions regarding access codes. Then, after I could not access the room I reserved, I requested a refund...and of course, I have yet to receive a response. This was the worst experience I ever had with a room reservation in my life! I could not afford to stay in Montreal and see the beautiful sites due to this immense blunder caused by Destination Stays.
