Unique retro-styled apartment, close to the main streets and great restaurants. Stayed with my brother in the deluxe Marrinette. Big bathroom and double bedroom. Good sized living room. I had a single bed made up in the living room, which worked well. The kitchen had a retro style too; just a hot plate, fridge, good coffee machine and enough crockery/cutlery for 2 people, so suitable for light meals with a nice seating area. We were very comfortable and found it to be a really good base.
Alessio was very pleasant when we arrived at 3 pm and rang the bell. He'd emailed me on the morning I arrived to see what time we were coming. I hadn't managed to get a reply to my email to him beforehand, so I telephoned to make sure we could have two beds. It all worked out really well as it happened. It was Alessio who brought up our breakfast each morning, along with more coffee pods for the machine (we always had plenty).
As we always like to stay in heart of Italian towns we expect a level of noise as being the price you pay to being close to everything. So there's street noise at night as happy Italians stroll by, but quiet early mornings. There is a little bar underneath, but that was never a problem. Basically, if you want an early night you must use ear plugs so that the random street exuberance doesn't disturb.
We really enjoyed staying in our apartment. And it was a bonus to have a B & B service of breakfast, coffee and bathroom stuff replenish and room clean. We'd go back.
