Great location. Older hotel redone, but stopped short of being well done.

    Just ok.. we laughed
First off location is great and hotel was clean. I probably would not stay here again however because the beds were not comfortable and the decore felt like is was in a cheap Taratino movie. You know.. funky art, low sitting furniture.

we loved it! we were traveling with our two dogs. So happy to know we can now stay in a nice hotel when they come along! the property is beautiful and in the best location in Downtown Austin.

    Not a pleasant stay.
The hotel had issues with the AC on one of the towers. The technicians came twice but ultimately were not able to totally resolve our issue. The room was warm and humid. Once AC was worked on there was a slight improvement we noticed deep into the night. On the 2nd night half way through the night the ac started to falter again. The room never dropped under 72 but hovered around 75 most of the time. The blankets were uncomfortable and stiff feeling. This was not helped by how humid the room was during out stay. Suprised by the valet only at 45$ a night. I was unaware but maybe i missed that part when i booked the room. Staff was friendly and did their best. The front desk attendant refunded the amenities fee to help make up for the AC issues.

View of the bats from the heated pool was amazing!
This isn’t our normal post-up in Austin, but we will definitely be back. The stylish room was very comfortable, location is great and facilities were very luxurious. Recommend.

Restaurants and Rooftop Bar main highlight!
Loved the hotel. My room didn’t have a great view as I was literally in front of the garage and essentially saw only the top of another building but the room was clean and cozy. The restaurants and bar were probably the biggest highlight of the hotel. I’d definitely stay there again.

Well located hotel with great rooms and nice service.

    Staff is cold and unfriendly
Check in was a breeze but the gentleman checking us in didn’t seem to be very friendly. Cold and not much interaction. Basically did not mention any of the amenities that the hotel had to offer, basically gave us our room key and pointed to the elevators. Parking is $42 a day so keep that in consideration and also the $20 something‘resort fee’. I hate when hotels do this! Just add it to the price of the room. Overall the hotel is very nice and the room was perfect. I just felt the staff came off as a little cold and not very personable. Would I stay again, maybe.

    disappointing is an understatement
While in a good location, this hotel is all style and not suited for travelers. The rooms have inadequate or non-existent drawers, the soap is black leaving residue on the sink, the bathroom fan is on all the time, there is no place to hang towels or clothing in the shower [which does not have a door]. The bed is too low and the lighting is completely wrong--especially in the bathroom where there is lighting in shower but only backlighting in the sink area making it hard to put on makeup or contact lenses. The robe is lightweight and not terry cloth so it's basically useless [plus there's not place to hang it]. There is a mandatory valet fee of $42 plus tax and a resort fee of approximately $23 per day. For a "resort" I'd at least like an ice machine rather than having to have it brought up. The refrigerator is also useless since all the space is filled with items for sale. When I get back to Austin, I'll come by the bar to look at the bats [if they're in season], but I won't be staying at The Line.
