Bad Value Proposition / A/C not working
Air Conditioning was not working from the start. The room was advertised as having A/C although it was clearly broken for a while. In a very noisy neighborhood in the summer that meant either sweating the whole night or waking up everytime a truck or ambulance passed by. On my previous visit in Rome I´ve stayed at Domus Helena. Comparing the two, this was clearly a much much worse value proposition. My complaint about the A/C was answered only on the second day. All that was said was that it could not be fixed in time. They couldn´t even provide a Fan or alternative, therefore my negative review.

SO SO STAY
OK STAY, BUT AREA AROUND TERMINI IS DARK AND WITH A FEW UNSAVORY CHARACTERS DRINKING IN THE STREETS. OWNER IS PLEASANT BUT TRIED TO TRICK US INTO AN EARLY CHECK OUT TILL WE POINTED OUT THE WRITTEN POLICY WHICH IS 10:30 AM , STILL EARLIER THAN MOST. NO INTERNET IN BEDROOM, SO THIS IS VERY INCONVENIENT.

Good 6.0
It was advertised as a hotel on hotel.com website however, its a bed and breakfast. An apartment subdivided into rooms for rent. The room was big, the bathroom and linen were clean. It was difficult getting into the building as I did not notify the proprietor. very close to the Termini train station.

Great location, great host, great room. We came back soaking wet after we had checked out and the host kindly let us use another room to get changed. 5 star service

Great hotel in a perfect location
the hotel itself is an apartment which has been converted into two rooms with en suite. The kitchen area is used as an office, this is where you will get the keys etc after meeting the owner. Very large rooms with all amenities required including a fridge which is helpful. The location is amazing as well as only a 5 minute walk to the station and about 20minutes to the main attractions of Rome. The breakfast which is included consists of a voucher which entitles you to go to a local cafe and get a hot drink and a croissant which is easy enough to get. I stayed for 3 nights and didn’t have any issues at all. I would stay again if I come back to Rome.

It was excellent value at the price. Would have liked to have booked more nights but it was full after my one night stay

Cheap and cheerful b&b in Roma
Stayed for 3 nights. Good location near Roma Termini for metro, buses and trains. A few dodgy people hanging around local shops but never felt unsafe. The b&b staff were very friendly and room was cleaned very well daily. Breakfast were vouchers offered at a local restaurant, food was good but very limited. Walking distance to the Coleseum and surrounding tourist attractions.
