Nice and quiet getaway. Unique over water bungalow experience. Booked the highest tier bungalow on Expedia despite there being lower priced options. Arrived to property and they offered their lowest tier bungalow and ultimately had to talk to manager and had to pay a lot extra to upgrade to the “elite” bungalow for 4 nights which is the same size as all the others with a “better” view. They removed the elite amenities since we booked via upgrade (top shelf liquor in room). The ocean is only 2-3 deep under all the bungalows but the units closer to the beach are completely murky and full of seaweed which also has an odor. Only the elite units have clearer water. There is an eye sore of a floating sea wall just behind all the bungalows so the view is good but you also have to see this. There is good room service and only a few restaurants. You have to make reservations at the main resort restaurants. We booked a day ahead via our “butler” and were offered a 930pm in restaurant we didn’t want to go to as our only restaurant option and 5:30 or 930 for the next day. In getting to the restaurants they were very empty and could have accommodated many more guests so we left the first restaurant at 9:30pm and went to the other empty restaurant we actually wanted to try. Not a very elite experience in booking dinner reservations. The total cost for the 4 nights was very steep. You can have a much higher quality experience at any number of resorts in Mexico for much less than this.

Wondering if it's worth the money - IT IS!
I didn't think it was possible but this resort exceeded our expectations. Our butlers Aldo and Pilar were incredible attentive and handle anything and everything for us. We truly were able to just relax and enjoy this paradise. Meals were incredible. The waiter, Dimos, in the Palafitos exclusive restaurant was top notch! We were in unit 1624 (right inside top of the T) and LOVED it. Originally booked an Elite but had to change dates. With new dates, Elites were booked. We were not at all disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed facing the beach and the sunset vs looking out to sea.
