Hotel Alfred Sommier, Paris

The highlight of the stay was the staff, extremely nice and professional. The hotel is lovely

This hotel is quite nice. Everything was good. But nothing out of the ordinary. There was nothing that made it better than all the other hotel on the street. Hence I dont think I will return to this hotel, i will continue searching for my favorite beat hotel in paris.

Our room was tiny. Breakfast buffet is very minimal and nothing amazing to eat. The hotel gives a chic boutique vibe. One thing I didn’t like was the toilet and shower/sink were in separate rooms. Kind inconvenient. Staff are very helpful and professional. Owner is very chatty.

This tucked away hotel was a gem. The staff was incredibly friendly, however, we found the owner to be selectively friendly. In particular, the concierge named Christopher did a fantastic job providing recommendations and making sure that I pulled off a surprise birthday commemoration for my wife. In addition, he helped us secure access to the top clubs in Paris with little to no wait. As for the accommodations, they were more in line with a 4 star than a 5 star hotel. While nice, I wouldn't put them at 5 star level. The standard rooms are incredibly small and its difficult for two people to share the bathroom. Also, the shower does not contain a rod or any enclosing so water ultimately ends up the floor. We didn't have lunch or dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was awesome for Europe, one of the better breakfasts we've had in our many travels across the continent. Last but not least...the location was perfect. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance and it's always easy to catch a cab. Should you choose to stay here, you won't be disappointed.
