The apartment was beautiful, good location, great price. Everything seemed perfect for our vacation. I never received our access code for entry, but since the 24 hr. line lady knew it, I thought nothing of it. That should’ve been my 1st clue.
I got woken up one morning by a knock at the door. It was people claiming to be sent to “fix something”. I told them no and called the 24 hr. line to let them know what had happened. The lady I spoke with was “just about to call me” about them. She said I HAD to let them in, because they need to fix “something” in a bedroom. They tore up the floor in my room. All carpeting and all our personal items were taken out. They were there all day long (9:30-5). We had to stay because we couldn’t leave them there with all our possessions, so we had an entire vacation day stolen from us. Why someone would schedule repairs when the property is rented AND we are in a global pandemic is beyond me. THEN I get told they’ll refund us for the night. Haven’t seen that yet. Also got told this was the Apartment complex’s fault, even though the leasing office showed e-mails indicating otherwise.
I chose an apartment over a hotel so my family wouldn’t be unnecessarily exposed to COVID. So you can imagine my anger when I wasn’t a. notified in advance, b. wasn’t given the option to refuse, and c. had to stay there all day long with two strangers who weren’t wearing masks. And STILL no partial refund. NEVER AGAIN. The pretty view isn’t worth the BS.
