Too Hot
Only issue we had that our air was not working. We had someone take a look at it. He asked us to wait about an hour and see if the room cools down. It didn't. It stayed 77 degrees all night. It was late so we just wound up just falling asleep. We were given a partial credit upon check out.

Super Nice
Super nice newer boutique hotel everything is fresh. The place has stunning architectural design. It used to be the administration building for the old asylum so the history is fascinating. Although it appears at some point that it was used to house residents of the asylum (painted over observation windows on most doors). Room was nice and the bed was comfortable and very clean. At some point after I checked in I was sitting on the couch in my room alone looking at my phone when I clearly heard some one say "hey" behind me. Later that night I heard a pop and found the head to my straight blade razor across the bathroom. Obviously I wasn't really alone! I would definitely stay here again but maybe in another room.

New Favorite in Staunton
Very cool hotel, great décor, clean room, very tasty breakfast. I wish the bar & restaurant would be expanded a bit, there is only room for three people to sit at the bar and only a handful of tables available in the restaurant. It is such a gorgeous place to stay, I believe a lot of guests would stay for dinner/cocktails at the hotel...

Very Good 8.0
Great property, with an interesting history. Breakfast was delicious, staff was nice. Unfortunately, we didn't get to experience the milk and cookies turn down service that the hotel boasts. Unsure why, confirmed it was still offered beforehand. Room was nice, but would pay for an upgraded room next time because "cozy" rooms were in the basement with a view of the ground and generators. A great stay otherwise.
