Most Horrible place. Do not be fooled by pictures
affa 60 has been the most horrible hotel/apartments I have ever seen in my life. First of all no taxi driver was able to find it therefore, inform the taxi to drop you at King George St V and then you will have to drag your luggage to the place that is all the way on the inside. The Building is not secured at all both front and back entrance are wide open at all times day and night with no doors, whether it rains or its is super cold you have absolutely no where to stay. When We were getting ready to check we waited 2 hours in the cold, there is no reception area or please to seat we were standing against the wall freezing in this 40 dg temperature. They do not have no bathrooms available we had to wait for our room to be cleaned to go in use the restroom. After 6 PM there is nobody available to check you in they will leave a note on the table and the keys at the door for you. So anybody can use your room without being caught. Now when it rained we were stuck in our room 113 because the wind was throwing all the water on the stairs and we would get wet, the ground floor was flooded. To top it all the whole building smelled because they have a sewage problem. The covered it with a carpet in the alley. That is why in the rooms they put a very concentrated scented perfume to cover the sewage smell. The beds are super uncomfortable and the toilet and rooms are super old. BEWARE of the pictures you see online because they are not accurate and promote false advertising.

Avoid This Property at all Cost!
This property is NOT a hotel. This is important as the owner rarely answered his phone so getting the room key was very difficult. In addition, the owner wanted everything on his terms and was unwilling to come early to meet us to give us the key. The sheruts (shared transportation from the airport) were unwilling to take us to the property as they were unsure of the address. Turns out the room was down an alley where cars are not allowed. We found a sympathetic taxi who ultimately drove us to the hotel but of course we paid for this service. As for the room there was dust everywhere and exposed wires with a non working smoke detector (see pixs). We booked a superior suite with a total of 7 beds. The room had 2.5 beds in it. The owner refused to believe I booked a room with 7 beds until I shared the booking confirmation with him. Amazingly, they didn't have a room with 7 beds! The final straw was when the power went out and since we were on a basement level there was no light to get dressed by nor was there any hot water. Fortunately, we had small flashlights with us. The entrance and room had exposed wires which the power company said was a hazard this combined with a smoke detector that wasn't hooked up left us very uneasy. The final straw though was when I asked for a partial refund and I was told if I give a positive review only then would I get a refund. I refused as I wanted to warn fellow travelers to stay away!

Whilst I found the apartment block reasonably easily, there was no obvious reception and because there was were no signs to say it was the Hotel (misnomer) Jaffar outside had to walk down the road and ask a neighbour. Eventually I found some bushy guy behind a curtain in the basement. i had phoned in advance of my arrival yet when I did so they appeared confused and said that they would ‘help me’. I think this meant that the ‘hotel’ would find me a ‘room’ that I had already paid for. Very kind of them! I was given a room that obviously hadn’t been finished, was dirty, where the duvet was damp, that was covered in dust, wires were protruding out if the wall, electrical units hadn’t yet been fitted and where one of the air conditioners was broken. It was definitely not the room pictured on the Expedia website nor a room that anyone would want to spend time in.

Very Good 8.0
The location was absolutely phenomenal, easy walking distance from both Machne Yehuda shuk and the old city. There is no hotel parking, and the closest place (recommended by the hotel) to park was more dirt lot than parking garage, but it was fabulously close. There was a mix up about how many people we had and the room that the computer reserved for us (we were two families totaling 8 people, so outside the box), but the hotel managers gave us an extra room to make sure we had plenty of space for everyone in our party. The rooms were air conditioned, they got nice and dark at night, and they were quiet for sleeping.

Poor 2.0
The location is fantastic!! Super close to shops and restaurants. Really quiet and close to public transportation. Unfortunately our room was beyond bad and the staff seemed to think that even though we were the ones on vacation we should work with them. The very really health issues presented to them day one due to the deplorable condition our room was in was met with stalling and then unwillingness to do anything and then met with lies that they had done something to resolve the situation even though they had never once bothered to talk to us at all. The location doesn’t outweigh the mold.
