Amenities advertised not provided, dirty, unsafe.
I chose this hotel as they advertised having a kitchen and laundry service. Advertising a 24 hour reception also gave me comfort that it would be well serviced. The room I was given had a gas hob as the only method of heating food. This didn't work and I was told it would cost 1000 bht to switch on. However, on trying to get it switched on the maintenance man (very brave) had to suffer it exploding in his face. All the rings were warped and it was clearly dangerous (they never managed to get it working). I was told that they would provide an alternative but this never happened despite repeated requests. From what they have advertised on Expedia, there is no laundry service, no free toiletries, no free bottled water, no 24 hour reception, no smart TV (or any TV for that matter). From what they have advertised on their own separate website there is no 24 hour security or dishwasher. There was no safe in the room (they didn't advertise that there was one but I took this as a given), the windows wouldn't close and outside there was a ladder which would help a lazy intruder get into the apartment with no effort. The room was crawling with bugs (cockroaches, spiders, ants, mosquitoes and all sorts of others). I am a frequent visitor to Thailand and have never had to deal with this level of infestation. I also got an ear infection after swimming once in the pool. I left early after finding somewhere else to stay. It took me 4.5 hours to check out to get my deposit back.
