Disappointing
We were a little disappointed with the hotel, we had decided to splash out for Christmas on a nice hotel rather than the usual budget hostal, we were told our booking included a welcome drink which we didn’t receive, when we asked the staff looked at us blankly. We were told by the hotel on email there was a party for guests on Christmas Eve but again the staff didn’t know anything about it. House keeping woke us early on Christmas Day to clean the room, we left the room for about four hours only to come back to find it had not been cleaned. Breakfast was really disappointing, limited options, cold coffee, only warm drinking water available. There is a chef who cooks breakfast eggs but none of the staff knew what poached eggs were, I showed them a picture they said yes we do that, I then received under cooked boiled eggs - I like a runny yolk, but the whites were runny too. We also witnessed other guests getting the wrong eggs or under cooked eggs. There was also construction work going on on the staircase leading to breakfast during breakfast serving hours.
