It's not really a hotel
Aparto-Dorset is student accommodation doubling as a hotel. It's common to find these types of accommodation throughout the UK and having experienced a variety, Aparto-Dorset came in below average. I had expected the accommodation to provide services you would expect from a hotel but that was not to be the case from day one: - The check in was efficient and the staff friendly. - The room has a similar format of newly built student accommodations. You'll find a bed and a desk. What was missing was: - The hotel does not provide toiletries such as soap, shower gel or shampoo. Items whichI would expect from any hotel; however, you can purchase a day supply from reception ( a hidden cost). - It will not come as a surprise to find students are resident in some properties and they can become noisy during the evenings. Doors being slammed shut several times throughout the night and they sometimes congregated in the court yard. - There 's a pub next to the building and the noise and music can be clearly heard throughout the evening. - Street parking is expensive and the hospital car park will cost 15 euros The location is ideal, it's close to the city centre and it would take about 25 minutes to walk to the city night spots. Supermarkets and many restaurants are also conveniently located. Overall: I personally would not stay at the place in the future and I would rather pay extra to stay in a hotel (in fact there is a hotel opposite the apartments)

Great for traveling on a budget
For the budget conscious traveler needing a night or two for accommodation, this is a good choice. We stayed here not for luxury, but for a safe and affordable stay so we could spend more doing things in Dublin. The facility has secured access and shared common areas like entertainment, kitchen, exercise, and lounge. We had towels in our room unlike some other reviews. Think dorm room for living area and bed. The room did not have air conditioning but this is common for Ireland. The window opens a little for air. The staff was very friendly and although we were early for check-in, they let us store our bags for free. The area has a lot of pubs and places to eat with only short walk to other places.

Didn’t know what I was getting myself into.
Overall it wasn’t bad. The beds are super uncomfortable and small.. definitely hard to fit 2 people in the room we got. It was also very loud with all the doors, because of the student housing setup, so if you’re a lite sleeper maybe not the place for you. Also, it seems the fabs work on multiple doors, as we had another guest walk into our room in accident. That was awkward and felt a little unsafe.
