Don't do it

Nothing is upfront about this non refundable booking. Its unpleasant surprise after unpleasant surprise. No cell service, internet was down, no land line, fireplace disabled, no snow removal around the property (if you wanted to use any of the decks, you had to shovel 3 feet of snow) On and on, trust me, the night fee plus the cleaning fee equals a whole lot of disappointment

Beautiful quiet retreat

This place was wonderful. The guest space is on the lower level with private entrance and opens up to a back patio with beautiful views of the mountains and the woods behind. We stayed in the suite and it was large with a huge beautiful bathroom. The back porch has a gas fireplace and hot tub. It was a wonderful quiet and peaceful retreat. It is about 15 minutes out of Breckenridge so if you want something walkable to downtown/ski area this is not it. If you want to get away into the peace and quiet of the mountains, this is a great location. Near enough to Breck to go out at night or skiing during the day but far away enough to feel like a retreat. The owner, Jeff , was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful place. Nice hot tub overlooking the valley. Tremendous hosts. The wife is a professional chef and cooks wonderful meals at reasonable prices. I hope to return soon.

Amazing bed & breakfast

Chalet Elevation is amazing! We stayed here with our 2 kids and the whole family loved it! The location is so unique with all the anemities you would want and more, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the hot tub in the winter wonderland was amazing. Jeff & Maria are great hosts, got us ski rental discount and were available to us for any questions before the booking and during our stay. In addition Maria?s cooking is better than any restaurant you will find in Breckenridge. The access to peak 8 grand colorado was a huge plus for parking, ski gear lockers and the pool. We will definitely come back to Chalet Elevation!

FRAUDULENT PHOTO AND INFO-BE AWARE WHEN BOOKING!

The Chalet Elevations hotels.com site is TOTALLY FRAUDULENT. They combined the peak 7 amenities with their location and the photo IS NOT THE B AND B--IT IS BRECKENRIDGE. I was totally duped-- THIS IS NOT A SKI IN AND SKI OUT place---THIS IS TOTALLY FALSE ADVERTISING. THIS IS NOT EVEN IN BRECKENRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!! I am furious that I did not have time to check on EXACTLY WHERE THIS PLACE IS. They were totally cheap with their food and made me pay for cheese to go with my sons omelet. I was driving at night and it was sooooo far from breckenridge we were worried since it was just myself and my son. They made it sound like they were off PEAK 10---they are such liars. They also said that there is free parking and access to slope side parking(that you have to pay for) You need to take the picture down---IT IS FAR FROM BRECKENRIDGE--IT IS NOT IN BRECKENRIDGE--THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING! plus you have to share a bathroom-----FOR 240 DOLLARS I WOULD LIKE MY OWN BATHROOM, PLEASE. HOTELS.COM-This is all a big lie----they should do air b and b and say they are sharing a room..the room was tiny and there is NO POOL!!!!!!! FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! NOT A GREAT DEAL!!!!

HORRIBLY OVERPRICED!!!!

Though we really do not like conflict, we feel we have an obligation to warn others of Chalet Elevation. The website of this Luxury Bed and Breakfast makes one think that this is a real bed and breakfast with spacious rooms, beautiful common areas and the feel of a professionally run B&B. The reality is very different. This is a young family?s home, 20 minutes outside Breckenridge on a long and windy road, and we found ourselves in a small, spare bedroom off the kitchen. We quickly realized this place has zero privacy and zero charm ? and on top of it all, we had a shared bathroom. That night we could not sleep becuase the family?s baby was coughing through the night. We ordered dinner, which was quite good, and served in the ?common area? ? which was a small table pushed up against the wall in the basement. This experience cost us a grand total of $300, which included a $35 cleaning fee (unusual for a bed and breakfast, I think), an extra fee for a twin bed for our children, and taxes. Had we paid $150 total, I might have thought this was reasonable. But honestly to pay $300 to stay in someone?s guest bedroom felt like price gouging. I called the next day to politiely explain our disappointment, and the owner responded by refusing to give any kind of refund and saying ?Frankly, I think this is comical.? I don?t think being overcharged and deceived is funny at all. He followed up by sending a nasty email to us, which was so distrubing that I won?t even post it here.

Chalet Elevation

This is really more of a bed and breakfast but is well done. Very nice people. Jeff and Maria were very hospitable and accommodating. The breakfasts were fantastic and having access to the Grand Lodge or Colorado made this really a top-notch experience. It’s much cheaper to stay here than a high-end hotel in Breck yet you get the access to a $500+/night place like Grand Lodge. Also, Jeff went well out of his way to accommodate us and made sure we had the best experience possible. The hot tub is nice and a great view of a peak. Bottom line: I would stay here again and with pleasure.

Horror!!!!!

Many of the pics displayed for this property, showing the pool, gondolas, skiing etc. are far, far away and there is NO transportation. In fact, I needed a search & rescue guide to get me to the chalet. In all of my correspondence with Mr. B did he mention that an all terrain vehicle would be necessary. There is NO privacy, as you will be staying in the BASEMENT !!! (alongside a small toddler upstairs). In all my correspondence with the Mr. B did he mention this. Garbage in the not shoveled driveway. This is where they intend for you to ski. Cross country ONLY. A small child answered the door to me and my driver and when the wife/mother could not explain the multitude of disparities of her house and the promotional hype advertising this property, we left. Of course, they would NOT refund my nearly $3000.00 even though my stay was less than 2 minutes rather than the 2 weeks I intended. My return trip cost me $500.00 so it would have been wise for me to follow my own advise and STAY HOME!!! Mr. B's correspondence after returning home was cold and unapologetic. I did give him the opportunity of relinquishing my funds, but no.

Couldn't see a ski slope with a telescope!!!

Literally lost in the woods. Understand that you will be staying in the basement with the family upstairs. Small child and no privacy. Ski-in/ski-out means CROSS COUNTRY ONLY!!!!!!!

Amazing place!!

We had an amazing time at Chalet Elevation. Jeff and Maria are very hospitable and made us feel very welcome and cared for. Really good food, very unexpectedly we had a wonderful dinner at the Chalet. And how to beat a hot-tub under the stars. Very nice! Jeff also helped us with discounts for ski rentals and very convenient arrangements for skiing in Brek. Thank you, we will come again!!

The perfect getaway!

We booked this lovely B&B for a quick getaway, it was easy to find and Maria was a welcoming and friendly host. She gave us great recommendations and provided us with a declicious and beautifully served breakfast! The access to the lodge was easy and a great perk. I would recommend this to any friends and family and will definitely return.
