A Fun Stay at Grandma’s House.
Although the hotel is self-proclaimed ‘historic’, as it truly is, the word is synonymous with ‘dated’. The amenities are ancient, the hot water takes a looong time to get to the faucet, and overall, it feels like you’re staying in the spare bedroom at your grandma’s house. With that being said, the lobby, casino and bar are bright, comfortable, and lend a modern feel to an old building. The staff was friendly and the location is great. For the price, I would stay there again.

Was good
Wasn’t aware of the $100 deposit so this shortened my funds for the night. Other then that was good. Room very old, part of the charm. Very clean.

Friends trip
Casino and restaurant were great. Older hotel, a place to sleep. Nothing fancy.

Deadwood Weekend
The rooms at The Franklin are tired!! The carpet was down to threads at the bathroom doorway. There was no air conditioning or a way to get air movement in the room in the poorly lit room. The lobby of the hotel is very nice. Offering coffee in the lobby for morning hours was a welcome touch.

Cute hotel in a cute town!
We enjoyed the antiquity of the room Ann’s hotel. Great location too—right downtown.
