Too hip for words
Modern hotel located across the street from the train station. There is no place to park in front of the hotel to unload baggage and there is no one to greet you or give you any information when you arrive in front of the hotel. Check in is one flight up and there is no lobby to speak of. We had a deluxe room with a partially sloped ceiling. Getting out of bed on one side was dangerous for the ceiling was too low even for my 5'1" wife, who would constantly hit her head on the beam. I think that you can do better for the price in the area and would not stay here again. This was my 4th trip to Munich.

Clean, comfortable, and a good location.
The hotel and the staff were all we could ask for. The location is very convenient, the rooms are clean/udpated/comfortable. Despite a middle of the night fire alarm (false alarm), this was still an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this spot to a friend/family member and would consider staying again.

This is a fun hotel. Someone definitely had a good time decorating it. The staff was friendly, and it's a convenient location if you're planning to make a lot of day trips from Munich. I've heard the area around the train station is not supposed to be very nice, but I didn't notice any problems with it. It was also easy walking distance to Marienplatz and many restaurants. Really, it's worth staying here just to enjoy all the whimsical flourishes. My only complaint is that the rooms are a bit tight - too much space is wasted on the desk area.

The hotel was quirky. Friendly staff. Great sauna! The wood in the rooms has a strange smell, but after 10 minutes you become nose-blind to the smell. Overall, good experience.
