Nice place, close to the river and tourist sights.
Great hotel in a wonderful location that is close to the main tourist sights. Clean, comfortable and large room size. The service needs improvement in the restaurant and with giving directions but overall a great value for the money !

Amazing! Wow.
Many hotels in Asia aren’t nice once you arrive and see the place in person. This wasn’t the case for Casa Vimaya. Awesome location and room!

Decent Hotel in a Busy, Gritty Sector of Bangkok
Casa Vimaya Riverside was more canal-side than river-side. You could view the canal from the roof-top pool and bar area. It is not terribly scenic. My room was good, not really memorable, but comfortable, clean, etc.. There was some street noise. The hotel is in the midst of lots of street life, with a "food alley" and a 7 eleven just across the street. Again, not scenic, but convenient. It is in the Old Town and it is easy to walk to monuments and museums, though sidewalks in this sector can take some negotiating. There is a lot of construction in the area, and lots of traffic on the street. There is an extensive local outdoor clothing market nearby. The pool is small, the bartender and bar staff not very attentive, and the poolside chaises crowded. Most visitors seemed to be European, and, like me, older travelers who like their downtime in the city. I did not try their restaurant. I don't recommend the tour operation downstairs; the Attuthaya tour was superficial and the guidance minimal, though the site is fascinating. The lunch provided on that tour was the worst food of my two-week trip. I would probably not stay there again, but it was an OK landing place in Bangkok. Staff was friendly and service -oriented, but few spoke my language.

Good stay
The hotel is relatively new and hence in good condition. The breakfast is decent, the coffee is ok. The only ding is the AC wouldn’t keep the room cool consistently. The staff is pretty helpful especially Paew who was on their tourist desk. She didn’t try to sell me anything crazy just gave me soldi advice on how to make most of my day and how to get around. I really appreciated that.
