Hotel was in a Good location. The bedroom was clean and a good size. The decor was interesting and no one can deny there was always something to look at, we enjoyed looking at the items and “animals” certainly gave us lots to talk about. The staff were very friendly and always in hand. Breakfast was good, coffee good, croissants were great.

Could do with modernising
The Auberge de France is a pleasant hotel in need of a bit of TLC. The staff are very pleasant but for the price it does need a facelift. There's a strong smell of cigarette smoke in some corridors (though not in the rooms). Everything looks dated. The Wifi was very weak. If you're tall make sure you get a double bed, otherwise you may touch the head and foot boards.

Dated and smoky
The check-in was smooth and the landlady courteous and helpful when there was a problem. The breakfast was good. The rooms were large and the bed comfortable. The atmosphere is rustic and quaint like something from early to mid 20th century - woodland bric a brac and stuffed weasels and the like everywhere. The reason I wouldn't recommend it to friends is the smell of smoke, despite No Smoking signs everywhere. The landlady was kind enough to give us a new room but 100 yrs of smoking and a present-day smoking lounge gave it this notable feature.

Het gezelligste hotel in Bouillon.
Opnieuw met genoegen geboekt en verbleven in Auberge d' Alsace/ Hôtel de France. Super goed gelegen, zeer vriendelijk personeel, aangename familiale sfeer en een uitstekende keuken! De filet pur is de beste die ik in jaren gegeten heb. Een lekker ontbijt en een aangename babbel met de uitbaatster. Meer moet dat voor mij niet zijn.

Hôtel de France
Les +: accueil, patronne au top, personnel aimable et efficace, la cuisine, les grands espaces communs (salons, terrasse), la localisation au centre de Bouillon, parking aisé, la chambre la moins chère était confortable, hôtel bien tenu, tout est bien propre et net. Les -: Le wifi très lent; la moquette au sol de la salle de bains (hygiène...) Conclusion: je me suis bien plu dans cet hôtel de famille, bien reposé et on n'y est pas un numéro. La déco est assez vieillotte, mais pourquoi pas? Visité une belle suite avant mon départ, bien tenté de revenir pour quelques jouirs.

Das Hotel liegt am Rande von Bouillon: Es ist jedoch nicht weit bis zum Zentrum und zur Burg. Es ist ein familiengeführtes Hotel mit einer etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Einrichtung, bei der Holz, Hirschgeweihe, alte Sägen usw. dominieren. Die Zimmer sind groß und das Bad recht neu. Das Abendessen ist ausgezeichnet; das Frühstück hinkt dem hinterher! Inhaber und Personal sprechen leidedr nur französisch.

Plusieurs problèmes
Un sejour pas très agreable, avec plusieurs deconvenues: - Ils n'ont pas trouvé/recu ma reservation. Quand on arrive la soir, fatigué, ca n'est pas très agreable. Donné une chambre, mais au matin, receptionniste different, ne savait rien et voulait me charger plus cher. - internet TRES lent, après 22 heures, il ne marchait plus du tout - la pomme de la douche étais bouchée, l'eau sortait partout, except que dans la bonne direction Pour l'instant, je ne peux pas le conseiller.
