Fabulous
I booked at the last minute due to my flight being cancelled so I was only there…
The staff was friendly, a nice room and meeting space worked well. Great location.

Not a Comfortable Stay
Nice looking remodel in historic area however it needs more mechanical upgrades. We had to change rooms because the AC did not work. The next morning the boiler was out so there was no hot water.

Nice hotel, needs work in housekeeping
The hotel is in a great area in easy walking distance of squares, shops and restaurants. The lobby is filled with original artwork and the rooms are large and comfortable. My only complaint was with housekeeping. The room was cleaned very late in the day and the staff did not leave towels the first night. The first day of our stay someone spilled something sticky near the elevator on our floor and it was still there 48 hours later when we left.

One night stay...
Good location and great staff! The room however was a different story. We stayed in a room with a king size bed and a balcony. During our one night stay, it was a windy day so throughout the night all you can hear is the howling of the wind going through the cracks of the balcony door. We tried to re-shut it but that did not help. Also the air vent door was loose and kept rattling through the night when the air would kick on. We had trouble with the elevator as well. Some buttons did not work and it would go to a random floor we didn’t select. It was a quick stay so we didn’t bother switching rooms. If I were staying longer, I would not recommend staying in a room with a balcony.

DeSoto delivers!
Spent two days and an overnight in Savannah with my sister. Took a trolley tour-great history lesson and a night on the town. Then went to mass at the Cathedral. Comsierge was terrific-Collin, I believe, gave us great suggestions reasonably close for lunch and dinner and good directions. Receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Room was perfect-two lovely queen beds. It did have a balcony as advertised, but no furniture out there to sit on-didn’t matter as we were too busy. Neighborhood was lovely. Definitely a place I would stay again.
