Good location with a short walk to the Anse beach. Nice little swimming pool. Rooms are basic and need some refreshing. Fair value for the money.
Conveniently located to beach, transport, shopping and airport. Comfortable bed and adequate accommodations for single or family with suitable amenities.
The room was partially refurbished but still had a lot of maintenance issues. An extreme lack of electrical outlets made the kitchen difficult to use. There were not very many utensils but sufficient for very simple cooking. The kitchen did have a lot of appliances but only one useful plug. On the very positive side, the air condition work perfectly and the location was excellent. On-site parking is a real plus for those with the car. Staff was nice.
Water was off part of the day for 2 days. Soap was not replenished.
Even though it was a steep climb from the parking lot to the office and then again to the room in hot, humid weather, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The room was clean, but warm, but the A/C cooled it down rapidly, and the shower had hot water. the TV worked, the bed was comfortable, the pool was refreshing, the proximity to the beach, buses, and shopping was more than adequate. The girl at the front desk even drove us to Spiceland Mall herself in her own car after she was off the clock when we mentioned that we were going there. Checkout was smooth the next day, too. We shopped and then used the pool after checkout and they even allowed us to keep our luggage by the desk and change clothes in their lobby restroom. Very sweet and accommodating. The only problem was that we didn't realize until we stayed there one night a week later, that we were charged US$10 too much for the room. The woman, at that time, refused to do anything about it despite my proving to her with emails galore that we booked it for less. She said that what we were charged was the right amount, so we're trying to get the difference back by dealing with hotels.com. (She didn't even consider our experiences the week later - definitely read THAT review...)
I really disliked that it was on a hill, and that you had to pull your luggage upstairs to enter the hotel. The rooms were spacious and the bed was huge but the room lacked basic amenities like a safe, iron, hairdryer, and we had to ask twice for towels. The floor was wet when we entered and there were what looks like seeds on the floor. The shower curtain was particularly very dirty. The staff was nice and location minutes from the beach with also transportation and eateries very close by. The place needs serious upgrading though. Won’t stay there again.
This is a unique hotel on the island. Not a fancy hotel but friendly and humble. Their philosophy is to be a 'green' place that welcomes active travellers. Rooms are decent but not fancy. The owner is a really cool person - I had a chance to talk to her. She has eco-friendly values and also wants guests that are adventurous and interested in meeting the locals, rather than being a gated community type of hotel stay.
Everything we needed & expected.
The room was very clean and welcoming, i enjoyed the pool and the staff was very helpful
Love the location easy access to public transportation
