I was really expecting a top notch hotel but Reception was nothing like photo, rooms did not have robe or slippers, the visitors lounge was great idea but everything was so €. The hotel was not inviting at all, front staff were efficient but not inviting. So disappointed.

Good location. Central but didn't hear street noise. Comfortable bed and pillows. Lighting in room poor. Unfortunately, sound from room above travelled and was annoyingly loud as floors are uncarpeted in rooms.

Couldn't ask for more from a hotel
Had a lovely stay at The James. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room and hotel in general were in top condition. Breakfast is self service, pay for what you eat so convenient and cost effective, with mininal waste. Car parking was easy (book in advance). Absolutely nothing negative to say. Will stay here again if i return to Rotterdam.
