This hotel was okay. We paid a lot for our stay. It was one of the few on our trip that had didn’t offer any water in the room. I guess for the price I expected a few more amenities. Room was large. It got quite warm in the room. When we opened the window the small biting flies swarmed in. Dinner in the dining room was good.

The Balmacara Hotel has two bars and a restaurant. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were recently updated. Water pressure was good and the water temperature was hot if you needed it (Not all hotels in Scotland provide hot water). Parking can be tricky as the lot has limited space.
