Unwelcoming Staff
Probably the most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. Very unwelcoming and acted as if it was a huge burden and inconvenience to be there. This was at check in, check out and especially poor in the restaurant. The hotel is quite rin down, and the room itself was dreary and dirty. The bed was comfortable, the water hot and the wifi worked so it did serve its purpose for a one night airport stay.

I needed a room for one night near the airport. Argueta was reasonably priced and close to the airport. They have shuttle service available, which is helpful. They could stand to clean the rooms better, and replace the old ratty towels, but otherwise it was fine. The hotel is not walking distance to anything.

The only reason we chose this hotel was its proximity to the airport. It was rundown and seemed to be under construction in some areas. The decor was unique- antiques cars, stone molcajete, military uniforms and gear etc. The room did not have any windows toward the outside, only one facing the hallway. Room amenities were basic. Bathroom decor was kitschy (the sink was a repurposed aluminum pot), but the shower stall had not been cleaned. The food at the restaurant was good, but service was very slow. The tables were not cleared and unsanitary- a stray cat climbed up a neighboring table and ate the leftovers. For a night, it was tolerable, but worth $100? No. Would not return here. I recommend staying at another hotel, even if it’s extra commute time.
