Mediocre stay in a beautiful place
I think they're trying but not hitting all the marks. Checking in and dropping off the car was an ordeal; the parking attendant was not helpful and wanted me to leave my keys in my unlocked car. The door was not answered at all promptly when we would come back to the hotel between sights. The whole place just seemed a bit off.

Perfect Evening
Beautiful historic bed and breakfast in the perfect location to enjoy downtown Detroit. On site parking was convenient and the staff was wonderful.

Great place to stay
An excellent place to stay if you are going to the arena, tiger stadium or Ford field. All within easy walking distance, and q line right there also providing easy access to museums. Hotel looks just like photos. Beautiful old home. Only 2 downsides - there is not a bar or restaurant at the hotel. There is coffee, tea and soda but no wine beer or spirits. Also, there are not a lot of restaurants or bars within walking distance. Hopefully there will be more soon as this is otherwise a wonderful place to stay with plenty of ambiance and staff are friendly and helpful.

Great place for a night
We loved our stay! The staff was super friendly and everything was clean and nice. My only complaint were the pillows were very soft and uncomfortable.

When we arrived we were first given a room we didn't reserve. The picture on your site doesn't reflect our room. We reserved a king room and were first given a queen. When I showed the reservation all she had left were two double beds room. The bathroom was amazing and it was nice and quiet during the night. Breakfast or what was there (fresh fruit for one person, pre-cooked paper thin bacon that was ice cold and we had to heat it up in the microwave, two bagels left). The only thing to drink was coffee, no water or juice. They had the glasses out but that's it. There was cold cereal available, but no milk to be found! The gal that was working that morning kept herself invisible if you wanted anything other than checking out. Needless to say it was unfortunate as we were going to stay at the Metropolitan but absolutely loved the room we were able to reserve here, no such luck. Wondering if that room actually exists. Bummer🙁

The Inn was a beautiful building in a great location. However, the room was very cold and you were not allowed to adjust the temperature in the room. I requested it be changed and was told it would, but no one actually ever changed it. Also the sheets did not seem very clean and had some stains.

Great Location
The location was great - it was very easy to walk to the events we attended. There were good restaurants close by. Parking in the hotel's lot was an extra charge so be aware of that, but we were lucky enough to find street parking close to the hotel. We arrived in the early afternoon so I think that helped. If you're arriving in the evening or early morning, I'm not sure that would be the case. The staff was very kind and upgraded our room for free, which was sweet of them. The hotel is pretty, but it feels a little bit like you're staying in a museum. We had the feeling that we couldn't touch or interact with our surroundings because everything was so ornate and seemed so fragile. So although it was aesthetically unique, we were so cautious about our surroundings that we never could truly relax, which is a bummer when you're on a trip. Another downside was the shower which had very poor water pressure and never got very warm. Because of those things, I'm not sure we will stay here again. But that's not the fault of the hotel - just our personal preference.

Love the feels
This is the most charming place! It is more of a bed and breakfast than hotel. First my 2 complaints: 1 you have to pay to park in their lot, $26.50 is what my card was charged for 1 night. 2 the shower didn't look all that clean. It was the small inch tiles with white grout and it was more greyish brown closer to the bottom and floor of the shower. It made you want to wear flip flops to shower. Now on to the good parts, everything else!! The parking lot is gated and locked after a certain time which made you feel very secure and safe leaving your vehicle there. We were just a few minute walk from Little Caesars arena where our concert was. You are just a little bit further to Ford Field and Comerica Park. You walk in and feel transported to a different time, I could have spent hours just looking around at all the rooms. You do walk in and the check in desk isn't very obvious so we had to walk around a little till we found it. The girl knew exactly who I was and got us checked in quickly. The room was nice, small tv in the corner, huge bed, HUGE wardrobe (made me think of Narnia) nice bathroom, and just an overall really cute room. I can't say enough about the decor! Furniture was really nice and bed was comfy. Unfortunately we had to leave by 6 am the next morning but I plan to go back and spend more time here just to check everything out. When we did get up to check out we were greeted and offered hot breakfast, we didn't have time but we did grab coffee and pop and left.
