Very friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is located just outside of the old and French quarters. Very convenient to the egg coffee street. The staff are very friendly and attentive. One of the staff, Alan, was super nice and sat down with us to chat and gave us food and attraction recommendations in Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, and Da Nang. He also made sure we have everything we need for our stay as well as transportation. The room is clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. They also has a rooftop sitting area on the 13th floor which overlook the city. And we had to leave early the next day and they prepared a light breakfast to-go for us. Highly recommend this hotel.

First Trip to Vietnam - Hanoi on Business Trip
The overall experience of the hotel and their staffs is greatly appreciated ad the team displayed the highest level of professionalism in handling customer's requests despite the understanding of English and Mandarin has much room for improvement. However on safety aspect is that the staircase steps are not marked with reflective strip at the end of each steps to caution user to the especially dark black tiles laid onto them and i happened to twist my ankles and fell resulting in multiple fractures on my right ankle area. I went to a hospital to have the injury consulted and X-ray plus CT-Scan and was told by doctor in Guangzhou when i return that i had multiple fractures at the ankle area. Attached pics of conditions of the legs over the 3 days stay and also the x-rays done in Guangzhou hospital immediately after landing. There's a male staff on the first night overheard a conversation between myself and the front office lady about the incident when i requested the lady to help me order food for dinner after 2230hrs and learnt about my twisted ankle, automatically went to the back and brought me a bag of ice-cubes for my to apply on to soothe the pain. The bell boy the following days when saw me limping heading out or returning was also quick to lend a hand helping me up and down the hotel entrance stairs.. sorry i forgotten to take down their names..

The hotel was clean, located in great location, quiet at night, offered great breakfast selections, and most of all had wonderful staff. From the time we checked in, they welcomed us with smile and refreshments and gave us very personal attentions to make sure that our stays are comfortable. After the check out, we had all day in Hanoi to catch a night train to Lao Cai. They were very understanding with our needs by keeping our luggage during the day and letting us use showers before the departure. Thank you to all the staff at Hanoi Babylon Garden Hotel. You made our Hanoi trip more enjoyable and memorable.

Poor 2.0
Management asked me not to post a review
So first the good news- amazing location, quiet side street 2 minute walk to the main tourist action. It’s also great value for money and spotlessly clean. So why the low rating? Firstly the food (breakfast) is awful. Limited choice (no real surprise given the budget), stale and had that dank greasy smell that purveyed the whole restaurant even when it was closed (we had to walk through the closed restaurant every time we went to our room in tower b). We stopped eating there after two days despite having pre paying breakfast for the whole stay. The spa is awful- probably the worst I have visited in Asia- poor message, awful atmosphere (all I could hear was the sound of someone doing laundry in the bathroom next door). What really irritates is having to ask for the same thing each and every day. I booked for 4 people, I paid for 4 people yet very day they reset the room for three (towels, water etc) for three. First day I just asked for the extras. Second day I requested from the manager, Tracey, that we get set for 4 people, third day I asked Tracey again. 4th day I asked her again... Speaking of Tracey, my reason for Posting this is she asked me not to post a review when I was leaving the hotel! Please don’t try and cover things up Tracey- I took that as a huge personal insult after you had taken the time to discuss my thoughts on your service. Please don’t get me wrong this place isn’t all bad, but it’s attention to detail and poor management un do so much of what co

Fantastic stay
I loved every part of it. The staff was polite from beginning to end, room in great condition, breakfast good and location great. A couple of minutes walk to old quarter which made It a much quieter place and generally an easy access location. I stayed in two different rooms due to having booked two different parts of my journey there. Both were great.
