Best Kept Secret in Rome!
Hotel de Ricci immediately became our favorite hotel ever. Amazing service, incredible location and delicious appertivo's every night made our short stay at the de Ricci memorable. Being able to walk to every major site while being completely tucked away from any tourist makes the hotel well worth the money. If you can swing it, absolutely stay the Hotel de Ricci!!

Excellent!
Hotel De'Ricci was excellent in all regards. The staff was very helpful. They checked us in early when we arrived, provided great suggestions for the area and helped arrange a car service when we left. We did not take full advantage of the restaurant or smoking room (we don't smoke) but it was all a very nice small boutique hotel experience. Having very few rooms, I was pleasantly surprised that they had overnight staff, which would be great if you have any issue after hours. It's a nice 10 min walk to Trastevere over the Ponte Sixtus bridge and similar to to the Vatican.

Lovely boutique hotel near Campo Di Fiore
Romantic boutique hotel near Rome's Campo Di Fiore square. The hotel only has a couple handfuls of rooms and this provides for a very initimate experience, including lots of TLC from hotel staff. The hotel experience included a lot of a little bonuses, including complimentary (and tasty) antipasti in the early evenings, and we also received special accommodations from staff and management during our stay, including a room upgrade due to one night being booked separately and in a different room than the remaining term of our stay. Cannot say enough good things about the neighborhood - a little of the beaten track in the Western section of the Centro storico, but still walking distance or short cab ride to all the major attractions. The neighborhood is full of boutique stores, art galleries and studios. Its winding streets are more footpaths and the opportunity to explore the quieter personal side of Rome exists here. The hotel is only about 18 months old as of Fall 2018, and the furnishings and decorations are certainly high end. Higher end rooms include a sweet balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard, and despite the incessant sirens ringing out over Rome, this place gets very tranquil. Highly recommended for couples or guests seeking a more sophisticated, intimate experience.

Great place to stay
The simplest thing to say is that I have no real complaints, maybe except for the slightly wasteful way of dealing with partially used soap bars (don't throw them out!). Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. A big contrast to the previous Airbnbs that always managed to disappoint no matter how pricey you go (usually plumbing and wifi problems). The hotel is well located and many of our favourite neighbourhoods are within easy walking distance. Also there are a few Michelin starred restaurants very close by. The rooms are comfortable and clean (I prefer a bit more light, but no biggee). It has a wine theme but we didn't really partake of it; there is a wine fridge in the room, but we just used it as a normal fridge. There are free soft drinks that are replenished daily. Service is good. Although my personal tea mug kept being taken by housekeeping, it was always returned quickly (unlike my ordeal with the Marriott Bogota where it took a complaint to head office to get it back). Recommended but you need to see if it fits your budget.
