Very Good8.0
Well we had a late check-in because they lost the power the night before so it's not really their fault overall they're very nice people I would stay there again

Nice but not much sleep
The lobby is nice and the staff was friendly and fast. The room looked nice and was plenty big enough with nice looking furnishings however there is not nearly enough lighting in the room. The chairs looked nice but they were hard and uncomfortable. The noise level on the floor I was on was not acceptable. People were coming in until 2 am in groups talking loud in the hallways. Someone stomping back and forth across the floor in the room above me with heels on (there are no carpets and the flooring appears to be pergo or something similar so the heals made a lot of noise.) Someone was smoking pot and the smell was so strong it was coming into my room from the hallway. The noise level and the stomping started again at 6am. Loud enough to wake me up. It would not have helped to report the noise problem to the desk because there were several people and rooms involved. If it had not been for the noise of inconsiderate people I would have enjoyed my stay much more. I would stay here again but would ask for a top floor room.

Great value for the area
We try to get to the coast a few times a year. My wife loves jetted tubs as she's too tall to get more than half of her covered in our standard tub at home. We both love beachfront places with ocean views. The problem we run into is that if we get both the tub and the beachfront room, we shell out nearly $200 a night. This lovely find ran less than half that. Just be aware of some compromises that might be made. My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights as her birthday present. We had an ocean view king room with spa. We ended up in room 301. Freshly redone, it still smelled slightly of paint but that wasn't an issue for either of us. The jetted tub is what my wife was after and she very much enjoyed it. While not on the beach, if you can ignore HWY 101 right below you, it provides nice views of the ocean waves. The WiFi worked well our entire stay. The free breakfast was your standard hotel carb-fest with eggs & sausage. Nothing special, but that wasn't our expectation. Bed was comfortable with decent sheets. Everything was clean. The only minor gripe is that lighting in the room is fairly limited. With only a lamp on each nightstand (with cold CFL's) and the fluorescent near the vanity, the corner tub and the area with the couch were pretty dim. It would be improved if they'd use warmer color bulbs as well.
