Disappointing for such a prime spot
I made the reservation for colleagues. They were unhappy with the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the condition of the carpets.this was a sticking point as they both do yoga in the mornings. The hotel felt old and beat not boutique.

Great hotel/Great location
Great hotel in the middle of NY. Easy access to everything.

Lovely hotel
We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. My only complaint is that the bathroom sink was very small so there was no convenient place to put toiletries down while using them. I do know other rooms had larger sinks. Otherwise, very, very nice.

good location, bad service
Staff was not friendly and borderline rude (hovering over the guests at breakfast table, not helping with luggage). We had to ask multiple times to - 1. Refill toilet paper, hand towels 2. Replace hand soap (which they never did) 3. Fix a flickering light in our room Reservation said that the "resort fee" includes free bottled water in the room which it didn't (you could ask and they send a jug of filtered water... not exactly bottled water ) and also said coffee in room (which there wasn't, there was coffee and a few lousy oranges available for guests from 630-10 and most days it ran out before). Bottom line - just horrible service and misadvertisement about what you get (bed also was supposed to be Queen but it wasn't. Complained multiple times. worst hotel we've stayed via they also tried to bill us at the end of the stay for "high speed internet"

Fine hotel in a great area
We got a deal so it was fine for less than $300/night. The first room they gave me was super loud (I could hear the elevator from my bed) and had really icky stains all over the carpet. The room I accepted and stayed in for 4 night was fine and quiet. The service was quite annoying. I was told at check-in that rooms do not have a coffee maker but they had In-Room Coffee that I could order and bring up as part of the resort fee. It also says this on the list of benefits for the hotel. I called and ordered my "In-Room Coffee" and was brought a bill for $15+ and told it was not In-Room Coffee. I called the front desk to clarify and was told "In-Room Coffee and In-Room Coffee are two separate entities" and that if I wanted coffee, I could come downstairs within a small window of time to get some in the lobby. The 2-hour coffee window is apparently In-Room Coffee. Very annoying, confusing, and inconvenient for a coffee-fueled business traveler working from the room. A 4-Star hotel can do better. To top it off, my mini-bar was never restocked and room cleaning is limited. I'd call this a 3.5 star hotel with room for improvement.
