A Slice of Paradise
My only complaint was about the mattress, but it is probably fine for people younger than 70.

Esta Cuidad no es Paris!
This place is fantastic. Front desk attendants were very friendly and efficient. I loved all the decor and murals on the tables, floors and walls. They have nice locally made gifts and souvenirs available in the lobby. All hotel rooms could be cleaner but I had no complaints. However, I didn't like that they serviced my room even though I left the "do not disturb" sign on the door when I went out. The bartender named Vadim was awesome. Laid back and good to talk with. The glitch at the hotel is the ice machine. You have to bring your ice buckets to the bartenders or front desk attendants to be filled. They didn't mind at all but then you feel like you're supposed to tip them (which I did) but then the ice really isn't free anymore. Mary the night auditor was also great. She was fun, witty, informative, and didn't mind me hitting her up for ice at 4 a.m. The on site restaurant has great food as well. Big breakfast sandwiches. There's also a shuttle that runs into town every half hour with friendly, courteous and informative drivers. I highly recommend this place. It's more akin to a cuban resort. Awesome pool and pool area. Would definitely stay again.

Thanksgiving week
I would recommend the hotel. Great amenities, location, service was excellent on site, staff was friendly and responsive, it was clean. Like their downtown shuttle. There were a few minor issues I hope they would fix: they didn't answer the phone when I called before getting there; no mention of the free airport shuttle so I ended up paying $25 for a taxi ride to get there but they did tell me they would take me to airport; need better choices on the breakfast menu since most items were basically cuban; not enough pool chairs.

Had a nice long weekend away
Very nice staff, at every interaction. Great amenities in the pool, bar, food truck, hot tub, cornhole, etc. and very well maintained. The shuttles to Old Key West and to and from the airport are the dealmaker though!

Limited poolside view.
It was great overall. However we paid for a poolside room and were put in the last room of the complex next to the housekeeping area with a limited view of the pool. Not worth the extra upgrade money.

6/10 Good

Customer service is lacking. Nobody smiles here! Front desk employees except one male were occupied on the computer for too long. A customer in person trumps the computer or someone on the phone. No eye contact… the maids were also unfriendly. Very strange. The rooms needed deep cleaning and updating. Tiny toilet that clogged easily. Noisy in general. Late night people apparently drunk, cussing and obnoxious in the parking lot on a Tuesday night! For over 30 minutes! Too costly for such a low quality environment. The pool area is nice : yet outside employees not friendly at all. No eye contact, no greetings, nothing! Only one lady; at the concierge desk was friendly, professional and helpful.

Fun Festive hotel
Love this fun hotel with great pool and bar. Room was large and nice. The resort fee is expensive. Guess they are short on maids because we didn’t get our room cleaned one day and had to ask for service the next day. The music does go on till late so it may keep you awake. The staff is friendly, love the breakfast, free parking and shuttle to downtown. Hotel also sent texts to keep you informed.
